I was shooting a time-lapse with my buddy Bryan Stenlund in Ely Minnesota. After about one hour, “Steve” formed from east to west and slightly behind us. It was visible with the naked eye and I could see the pulsations of green with the purple. It reminded me of time lapses from Alaska or Norway. As you can imagine, I was totally stoked. This was my first “Steve” sighting and it was unforgettable Nikon D7 50 with Nikon F1.4 at 2.8 ISO 2000, 20 seconds
